Mike Dobbs, Associate Pastor since 1994, has spent the last two years working to upgrade our church's children ministry. Mike came to the church as the Youth Pastor and is now spending most of his time helping the Children's Ministry become the best in Ukiah. He is currently with Growing Healthy Churches mentoring Lake and Mendocino County Pastors.
"In 1974, I committed my life to Jesus Christ and began my personal relationship with Him. Through the help of churches in Modesto, CA, I grew in my walk with Jesus to the point of wanting to serve Him and His Church as a pastor," says Mike. After graduating from Fresno Pacific College and Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Education and an Internship at First Baptist Church, Modesto, CA, Mike spent two years in Lodi, CA as Youth Pastor followed by eight years as Youth Pastor in Vancouver, WA.
Mike, his wife, Linda and children, Jared, Jacob and Julie live in Ukiah and enjoy the small town setting where eating out at one of their several favorite restaurants requires a trip out of town. Depending on the day, Olive Garden, Red Lobster or if in a hurry, Panda Express may be their destiny. Mike's favorite books are James, Philippians, Nehemiah and Shaped By God's Heart. Vacation favorite spots include Hawaii, Mt. Hermon Christian Conference Center, and Modesto, CA to visit family.
